A member of the division since 1953, Jim has served as President, Vice President, Recording Secretary and Marshal. He was born in Glen Cove on July 9, 1933 to Peter McCabe from Carrickmacross, Co. Seafood Raffle A Success

Winners received fresh seafood for their 4th of July barbeques. Congratulations to Grand Prize winners Barbara Donohue and Barney Lough who won lobster dinners for 6 people which included lobsters, corn, salad and two bottles of wine. The National Hibernian Digest is Now Online
The National Hibernian Digest, the official newspaper of the Ancient Order of Hibernians now has an online edition, which will feature an archive of past issues. According to editor Keith Carney, the site will also include expanded news and features not appearing in the newspaper. The site is HibernianDigest.com, which was designed by Nassau County Webmaster and Division 8 Vice President Joe McDonald, who was named Online Editor of the paper. What is the Ancient Order of Hibernians In America? The Ancient Order of Hibernians is a Catholic, Irish American Fraternal Organization founded in New York City 4 May,1836. The Order can trace its roots back to a parent organization, of the same name, which has existed in Ireland for over 300 years. However, while the organizations share a common thread, the North American A.O.H. is a separate and much larger organization. The Order evolved from a need in the early sixteen hundreds to protect the lives of priests who risked immediate death to keep the Catholic Faith alive in occupied Ireland ...
