NOTE: On Every Saturday Tickets will be on sale at IGA Food Basket at 68 Bayville Avenue in Bayville, NY. You can get directions here.
Division 8 will host its annual Independence Day Seafood Raffle on Jun. 28, 2009.
Tickets, going for $5 a piece, are on sale now.
The Raffle will be drawn on June 28th and the proceeds will benefit the charities of Division 8. In the past, the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 8 charities have ranged from the Wounded Warrior project which supports our troops who have been wounded oversees and the St. Vincent De Paul Society that provides assistance to those families and individuals in great need of basic resources to live.

Division 8 to March in Memorial Day Parade

Division 8 will be marching in Glen Cove’s annual Memorial Day Parade on May 25, 2009.
The parade begins at noon, stepping off from the Finley Middle School horseshoe and proceeding down Forest Avenue to School Street to Glen Street, turning at Pulaski Street and at the arterial highway, passing the reviewing stand at Glen Cove Library and ending at Charles Street.
Dress code is green polo shirts and black pants. Please try to attend!!
Next Meeting June 11 at Page One Restaurant

Division 8 will hold its June meeting at Page One Restaurant on 90 School Street in Glen Cove. After a very short meeting we will have a buffet dinner for 15 dollars a person and hold a wine raffle for two bottles of wine.
We hope that all members of the division can attend this event, since it will be the last meeting before the summer break.

Nassau County Convention on June 7th

This is to again announce that the Nassau County AOH Convention will be held on Sunday, June 7, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Holy Family Church basement, 25 Fordham Avenue, Hicksville.
Please tell all Hibernians you know, pass this to all Hibernians in good standing, announce it at your next meeting, and attend the convention yourself. It will be hosted by Division 11. All county officer positions are open.
